|12:43 pm - They've cast Zaphod.|
And it's Sam Rockwell.
Rockwell, if you need a bit of a refresher, was not only Guy in Galaxy Quest ("...and another crewmember!") but Chuck Barris (shown above) in the amazingly brilliant Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. This could work out. This could just work out.
Since all I've got as a visual right now is the horrible, horrible BBC version with the extremely fake head and the bad hair, this is a vast improvement. I'm so excited, I hope this movie turns out well. Yay!
Rockwell has a real habit of blending into his role. He does a great job of it. I couldn't believe he was the expendable extra (with no last name, so he knew he was doomed) in Galaxy Quest after I saw Confessions.
This'll be neat.

you forgot that he was sexy in charlie's angels!
Christ, I only hope they manage the second-head thing better than MIIB. (I'd say Knoxville can kiss my ass, but he'd only go and make a special out of doing so).

I don't know how wrong it is of me to say this, but Rockwell was quite good in "Charlie's Angels." He was very convincing as both the nerd schlub and then the badass bad guy. If anyone could be Zaphod, I think he could do it.
They're getting our hopes up. I can't help but be suspicious, ya know? Something about excessive goodness and truth.
They're casting actors, but do they have, oh, I dunno, a SCRIPT?

Oh, man. Rockwell? This oughtta be interesting.
And for those of you who don't know, he's also in The Green Mile. And he's unbelievably scary in that. Complete and utter sociopath.
And the little fan girl in me goes "squeeeeee!"
I love him in a totally lustful way. He's PERFECT.
