|07:35 am - Oh, for fuck's sake.|
The downstairs apartment is being remodeled. The kitchen is being torn apart and power drills are whirring and things are getting hammered and slammed and pulled down and stuff.
At 7:30 in the goddamn morning. On a Sunday.
Seriously, people. What the fuck?

Ah, the fun things I have to look forward to when I go back home.
Seems to me it's time for an epic Rock Band marathon, starting at 11pm!

There's no one downstairs then. The apartment is empty. So, do the marathon while they are still there.
You tell 'em Mr. Sinatra said to knock it off or it's ringa-ding-ding for those clowns!
I thought the noise law said no such work before 8 am, but I could be wrong.

Section 9-116 of the Somerville City Ordinances:
(4) Domestic power tools. Operating or permitting the operation of any mechanically powered saw, sander, drill, grinder, lawn or garden tool, or similar device used outdoors in residential areas between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, or between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and state and federal holidays so as to cause a noise disturbance.
(ordinances are available at http://www.municode.com/Resources/gateway.asp?pid=11580&sid=21
Hmm, that says "outdoors". Maybe there's no law about indoor work?

Operating or permitting the operation of any ... grinder ...
What if it's 10:00pm but you're really hungry? :o\
Then you'll just have to forego the mechanically powered one and manage with a manually operated variety of grinder instead.

You might want to go talk to the folks working down there and ask them to be a little more considerate. That is too early in the morning and the laws are against them starting that soon.
Thanks for the offer. And most certainly you can have the CG icon (I made it m'self!) Originally it was going to just be Oscar hollering from the car, but I really liked the rhythm of the sequence too.
Since when do you watch Corner Gas and not tell your favourite Canadian that you love the show?
Awesome, isn't it? :)
I think I get this every time I trot out the icon. Yes, the show is a hoot, and I'm actually able to follow along with the final season in real-time, instead of watching through several episodes of a season in one go. It feels like a real live TV show to me now! Hooray!
