|11:37 am - argh!|
Oh, and guess who's playing Symphony Hall here in Boston tonight?
2005 is the 40th anniversary of the Alice's Restaurant Massacree. You know. The event that all started two Thanksgivins ago -- two years ago on Thanksgivin.
And I can't go! Weep, wail, gnash, etc.
Indeed. I saw Arlo (and occasionally Pete, Sarah, Tao, etc) at Carnegie Hall every Thanksgiving weekend for many years. He puts on a great show. :)

I'm going tomorrow out here.
Where's he playing out there? The Calvin?
I am so jealous.

Fine Arts Center at UMass.
I haven't seen him play since I was 5.
I walked past the poster outside Symphony Hall last night and thought to myself that his hair seems to be evolving into a separate, sentient being.

I don't want a pickle,
I just want to ride my motorcicle [sic]
I had a friend, a friend I could trust
He went into the park and got busted

And I don't wanna die,
I just wanna ride my motorcy...
...but just what is the significance of the pickle?

It's important to note that this makes the event 42 Thanksgivin's ago. Make of that what you will.
The actual event is 40 Thanksgivins ago. The Anti-Massacree Movement was started 38 years ago, then.

Ah, sorry. I was confusing the Massacree anniversary with the Album release. I stand corrected.
