|05:53 pm - THE CONCERIEGE HAS SPOKEN|
ATTENTION PEOPLE OF EARTH
DO NOT CALL ME AT 5:30 ON A SATURDAY EVENING
AND EXPECT AN 8:30 TABLE AT NOBU 57
I AM CAPABLE OF WARPING ONLY SO MUCH TIME AND SPACE
PS: Nobu 57 closes its reservation line at 5:00 PM. Sucks to be you, Mr. Important Mans.

Is the problem that he expected this to work? I had the impression that making this kind of impossible thing happen was exactly the point...
Well, when Nobu 57 closes its reservation line at 5:00, there's not much anyone can do short of calling every 5 minutes and asking "hey, has there been a cancellation?"
And honestly we can't do that. We've already had to restructure how we contact a particular NYC trendaurant because we were calling 'em too many times a day.

You're working for amex concierge? I think I'd be interested in exploring how much insanity a concierge and a customer who were complicit could effect.
Actually, I'm not an AmEx concierge.
But if you were, say, a doctor at Mass General...
(I like the insanity complicity idea, though!)
