|04:47 pm - This is either really brilliant or really sad -- your choice|
HELLO MOS EISLEY
ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!

my vote is on 'sad'
Does the sequel to this include Billy Dee on tenor sax?
This is incredible. Instant background. Thank you.
If Lando were on sax or even a Lionel Richie-like frontman thing, this would instantly bypass any "brilliant or sad" discussion and go straight to the AWESOME
Fuck. You have discovered the maximal value of kitsch.
(please remain where you are while we send a brain desanitising team to make you fit for polite society again)

I think 'brilliant' far outweighs 'sad' for this. I'd go as far as 'genius', even.
It looks like a wicked fretless bass, while Han's rockin out on a Flying V.
What do you reckon they're playing?

I'm gonna vote brilliant just for the plaid leggings.
No Padawan should ever be that sparkly. Ever. I don't care if you come from the planet Glamrockus T-Rex which is located in the Bowie quadrant, I don't care if you claim the sequins deflect plasma beams, just...NO. And no platforms, either.
And what's with the harness rigging keeping Vader up there? Vader don't need no stinking harness. Come on now. Be reasonable.
Still, I would have to give this 3 stars for effort, and for giving Leia the plaid leggings and the SWEDISH RAWK CHYK hunched-over-the-mic pose.
Aww come on... If Luke had some blades on the bottom of those platforms, he'd be ready for Ice Capades!
Now THAT'S classy!
That's a wish I have that has yet to be fulfilled.
Where are the Ewoks to jub-jub in the background?

I like how the crowd could have been painted by Norman Rockwell
oh plus I like how the everything else is fuckin' RADICAL
jd thinks that this was from an actual star wars poster -- that leia is hunched over giving the plans to R2, and luke has a lightsaber in the real version. can't explain han though.
Well he's right about it being from a real Star Wars poster, but wrong in that this was modified. This WAS the real poster, I've seen it before in some random official Lucasarts thingummy.
